FAQs

What are the different ticket types?

Tickets are priced either individually at £20 for standard and £30 for VIP, or in tables of six at £120 for standard and £180 for VIP. VIP ticketholders have a separate entrance and are situated closest to the stage with table service for drinks and food. This year all customers will be able to book specific seats in their preferred location. Tickets will also be available at the entrance, subject to availability.

The entertainment can be seen from any seat and the food and drink pricing and offering will be the same for all, no matter where you sit.

Do we have to book or can we just turn up on the day?

You are strongly advised to book in advance to guarantee your seat location. Each session has a strictly limited capacity but should there be availability tickets can be purchased at the gate.

What time do the doors open?

The doors will open 30 minutes before the session time starts, so you can make the most of your time at Yorktoberfest - that is 6.30pm for evening sessions and 12.30pm for afternoon sessions.

Will it be cold? What should I wear?

The Yorktoberfest marquee is heated and has a wooden floor, so you should be at a comfortable temperature and can remove coats and jackets. There is a temporary pathway to the marquee across the grassed area so normal footwear will be fine, though bear in mind the ground can be a bit soggy in rainy weather! And we would encourage the wearing of fancy dress - it adds to the fun, plus there's prizes to be won!

What does my ticket get me?

The ticket price includes your admission, a guaranteed seat, and the night's entertainment which includes live music from the Bavarian Strollers oompah band and performances from Velma Celli, our resident Drag Queen.

Do you have steins?

Yes! We do have souvenir steins which you can purchase at the Bavarian Bar.

Is there food and drink available?

Yes. Our Bavarian Bar sells a range of traditional German beer in steins and pints as well as ales, cider, wines, spirits, shots, bubbles and soft drinks. You can buy traditional food such as bratwurst, currywurst, chicken schnitzel, fries and vegan bratwurst as well as apple strudel and pretzels with chocolate sauce at The Dog Haus inside the marquee.

What are the toilet facilities?

The toilets are located within the new Clocktower Enclosure and just a short walk from the marquee. The facilities are new, modern and extensive. There is a spacious disabled toilet.

Are children allowed?

The event is for 18+ only and children will not be permitted. Please ensure you have ID with you should you be lucky enough to look under 25.

Is the event cashless?

Yorktoberfest encourages card payment but does accept cash. We recommend you bring a card with you as only one of our bars accepts cash.

What happens with my ticket if the event is cancelled?

If we have to cancel the event for any reason, your ticket will be rolled into next year to be used at a session of your choice.
