With a live Oompah band, an outrageous drag artist as MC and some fun fancy dress .... let the party begin!
The entertainment will begin at 7.30pm at evening sessions and 1.30pm at afternoon sessions.
The Bavarian Strollers
Returning this year is the internationally-acclaimed seven-piece live band, the Bavarian Strollers performing thigh-slapping, foot-stomping oompah tunes as well as feel-good disco classics.
They have travelled the world bringing their unique take on oompah music to anybody that will listen, and specialise in Bier Keller evenings, Oktoberfests, bars, parties and even offices. They have appeared on BBC One, Channel 4, E4, Sky, Radio 5 Live as well as programmes such as Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Alan Carr Chatty Man.
The Bavarian Strollers are guaranteed to get you singing, clapping and dancing as they lead a series of Bavarian table dances (they’re VERY different from English table dances) and perform lots of German toasts or ‘Prosits’ (see right to learn the lyrics!).
Dancing is encouraged at Yorktoberfest, as it has been for over 200 years of Oktoberfests - these guys are sure to keep you on your feet and bring you a truly interactive and memorable experience!

Velma Celli
Adding to the party and returning to the stage by popular demand is star of the show, international drag artist Velma Celli. For the last two Yorktoberfests Velma has mesmerised audiences with her powerhouse vocals and wicked humour, receiving rave reviews across social media.
Known as ‘the UK’s Queen of live vocal drag’, Velma has been charming audiences across the globe for the past 14 years, from Australia to New York, and from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to London’s Hippodrome.
Velma takes the drag concept to whole new dizzy heights according to her alter-ego Ian Stroughair, a well-known name on the West End stage in his own right.
Outrageous, out to shock, and just plain 'out there', Velma is a force to be reckoned with - you have been warned!
